#TheCool: 2014

#TheCool's here for the final time in 2014 technically seeing as it is January 1st in some parts of the world already and we are an universal operation so we respect that time marches ever forward!

Speaking of marching forward is that I finally got around to proving that work for the masses!

A new episode of Super Metroid and a Shadow Moon primer for Super Climax Heroes! I couldn't close out the year without putting more work in so here's that and I'll make it a habit to provide a lot more to the streets on a more regular basis in 2015!

#DoaGHThaDOJO's always serving the work no matter the weather and we wanted to leave 2014 with a bang so here's what on deck for you right now!

Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match, Chaos Breaker, En Eins Perfektwelt, Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf.Achse, BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma, Project Justice, Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe, Koihime Embu, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R, Senko no Ronde DUO, Battle Arena Toshinden 2, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, Daemon Bride Additional Gain, The King of Fighters 98 & Blade Arcus from Shining!

Also is a new service we'll be providing in 2015 is mirroring Mi-Ka-Do streams from their UStream account. There's a lot of history with Mi-Ka-Do and mirrors. Mi-Ka-Do used to provide DDL vids on their site back in the day and those who used to do what I do now provided the exact same service by giving the streets exclusive content and I'm glad that this is something we'll be providing you in 2015 to give you more to feed your fiend! You got this because you wanted it! I always have my ears to the streets to make sure we're giving you everything you fiend for and none of what you don't! Available for you right now...

The King of Fighters Maximum Impact Regulation "A". Dragoon Might, Buriki One, Ehrgeiz & Samurai Shodown Sen!

#DoaGHThaDOJO will continue being your spot to get your fiend on for everything your fiend for! It has been a pleasure in 2014 to provide this service and we'll continue to in 2015!

Kick this party into gear! For the final time in 2014, This Week In Everything!

This week in Nitro+ Blasterz brings us a trailer and a peek at Ein, Mora, Ruili, Saya & Al Azif in action. Enjoy the Waifu Wars action!

Speaking of Waifu Wars, here's Sarah vs Christie from DoA5 Last Round!

#TheHustle as is everything this week is on slow motion. Same stuff that was on sale last time still is so make sure to make your Steam rounds before the 2nd and the Level-5 sale on 3DS is going until the 4th. Check last week's installment for more information.

In delisting news is Marvel vs Capcom: Origins left the XBL Marketplace a bit early and took Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game, UNO & UNO RUSH with it! No warning was given about Scott Pilgrim or the UNO games at all and that's a damn shame. I wonder do publishers realize that letting people know that a game's going bye bye will push sales so they get money going out the door? The digital future sucks but it is the digital future so we're stuck with it! "Hurray." Let this be the lesson. If its tied to a license of some sort buy ASAP or get it on that 1st sale so you'll always have it.

Nothing on the DLC front on any game this week. Check back to the trunk next time and we'll see if there's some goodies in store in store for you!

#TheHustle is always proudly brought to you by Team GRF & People Like Us! Thank You!

What Did I Get Into This Week?

You've seen plenty and there's a lot more coming. Been in the lab heavy taking notes on a couple of games that are overdue for the #TripleDaGodExplainsItAll treatment so expect those whenever they show up.

I finished Shougeki Gouraigan and that was even better than I expected it to be. A nice balance of action and comedy and you can't ask for anything more than that.

I also peeped The LEGO Movie and that was awesome too. I know they're going to pop out sequels to it so I await the continued adventures to come.

Linkara's back with History of Power Rangers: Jungle Fury and you can watch Part 1, Part 2 & Part 3 by clicking the links if you so desire.

All the usual suspects are still on hiatus other than Drive which introduced Kamen Rider Mach who's doing what it does. ToQGer is in Final Act mode and its getting serious. It'll be sad to see it go in February but Ninninger seems to be that work so there's that. Bleach of course is holding the manga front down and doing a good job of doing so.

Time to leave 2014 in 2014! What I Watched On The Internet This Week, please see us to the start of our 2015 voyage!

NIGGA TURTLES 10! I wanted to embed the original source from World Star but the blog isn't down with that so here's the link for link's sake.

Episode 46 of Dragon Ball Z Abridged!

New double shot of Voices of Gaming featuring Fukua's story playthrough!

In our final musical showcase for 2014 we have Raisi K. remixing a theme that's near and dear to my heartstrings. Shouts to Studio Megaane for this awesome 8- bit rendition of the Kyoryuger theme. NegroSaki for some throwback stuff with a remix of the NBA Jam theme called From Downtown from his album NegroSaki Remixes the 90's and a mash-up by Mixer Productions of From Downtown and DMX's No Love 4 Me with No Jam 4 Me! Classics!

Because I missed this accidentally last time is shouts once again to izumojinX for this awesome combo video that covers the Vs. series before 3! Awesome work!

Botchamania 263 & 264!

Of course we walk away from 2014 the same way we walked into it! Just going stupid dumb!

Special shouts to GiantBomb AKA BombaGigante always holding me down and I'll gladly plug their Game of the Year festivities not only because of what was their #2 on their GOTY list but for this...

Shouts to JV AKA Johnny V, DLeazy & Dr. Tracksuit on this 2014 GOTY banger produced by Just Blaze! Just stupid dumb!

TWO THOUSAND AND FOURTEEN IS A WRAP!

Shouts to XiL for this picture of one of the original members of my SUPER HAREM because yes I have one is Fiolina Germi! This is here for a reason! If you think about it for a second the answer will come and what this represents shall come soon with it! Click the picture to be taken to the source but be warned of what comes after. If you wish to view other pictures such as these then here's XiL's pixiv page!

Thanks to every single one of you for an awesome 2014 and here's to an even better 2015 to come!

From me and mine, to you and yours here's to a prosperous 2015 for all!

Join us next time when the 5 replaces the 4 but we'll be doing the same old 2 as we always do!

#TheCool: They Did The Thing & Damn Was That Thing Done!

#TheCool's here and we're ready to kick the holidays into full gear. However! before you go rushing into the cold is maybe you should bundle up with last week so you don't get sick out there! Seems like a plan to me!

As usual, #DoaGHThaDOJO always has that crack to keep the streets on fire and nothing has changed on that front! On deck right now...

Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe 2.0, Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, Daraku Tenshi, BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma 2.0, Arcana Heart 3 Love Max SIX STARS!!!!!!, Blade Arcus from Shining & Koihime Embu!

Last week was also the return of some classics with The King of Fighters '98, Power Instinct 5 & The Rumble Fish 2!

On my watch the fiends stay warm and dosed up! This Week In Everything, please follow up on our continued humanitarian efforts!

Jump Festa 2015 has come and gone. What transpired? Let's take a look!

The impossible just became possible! J-Stars Victory VS+ is coming to MURICA BAYBEE! Where was this when I needed Jump Ultimate Stars, Battle Stadium D.O.N or Yu Yu Hakusho 120%? No matter. It's coming to PSTRIPLEQUADRUPLELIFE and I'm on it! I wonder if it'll have an AniSound Edition? That would mean SMILE BOMB IN ENGLISH!!!! YESSSSS!!!!! Shouts to Justin Cook!

Got a look at Eyes of Heaven and we know now that its more like J-Stars instead of the Storm games like the streets initially thought. ASB was a fine basis to me so they really didn't need to change anything. How this will end up is anybody's guess but my ascended vision is glued to this one!

You thought Naruto was over? WRONG! They're still milking DBZ so we're going to be seeing this cycle for a long time to come. Should be interesting to see what characters they add and the characters you know they have to add. I'll wait.

We finally get some headway into the why of Xenoverse. Still not sold on the battle system but I'll give it the once over though. This was the perfect chance to go back to the Burst Limit style though with Dimps working on this one. I still have the games in the series I enjoy so I'll revel in that for now.

One Piece is back in Pirate Warriors 3. Looks to be more of the same and that's a good thing.

There was also some new trailers for XV & Type-0 if you're interested in that.

Cyber Sleuth will be upon you soon and I'm still holding out hope for this, Re:Digitize & Adventure for the localization job.

Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, Sophitia & Miss Cassie would like to wish you a Happy Christmas and the hope you'll spend money in the game for outfits and myriads of other things that you may or may not need.

#TheHustle's open for business once again to put this work in so here's what you may want to spend some of your cash on this week!

A reminder that Marvel vs. Capcom: Origins has already been delisted on PSN and will soon be gone from XBLA as well on the 31st so if you haven't copped it yet and want to then get on that. If you need to know the actual reason you need to add this to your digital library then I can show you the light right HERE!

The Steam Holiday Sale which ends on January 2nd always has the deals and here's a couple of my favorites you might want to pick up.

Everything Skullgirls is 66% off so if you haven't picked it up yet or missed some of the free DLC then you might want to get on this. However, until Christmas at 12PM CST (adjust for your hood) is the Humble Store has the game for $3.74 which is 75% off the base game! So a good as time as any to get on one of the best fighters in the business today!

Freedom Planet is 50% off as well and I need not explain myself further than that! GET IT ASAP!

Everything Vanguard Princess is 50% off as well so you can pick up the game and all its DLC for what the game costs by itself. A great fighter worth your time and money so you support more games like it on Steam!

Shantae: Risky's Revenge Director's Cut is 50% off too and again no need to explain why you need to get this and this is also the reminder that Christmas Day is Happy Merry Shantae Day with Pirate's Curse hitting WiiU so give that a look as well!

Make sure to keep up on these games and others for further price drops during Daily Deals that happen every day just so you know!

Speaking of the eShop is Level-5's eShop offerings will be going on sale from December 25 to January 4 and here's the list of what costs what!

Inazuma Eleven - $9.99/€8.99
Aero Porter - $2.99/£2.69/€2.99
Crimson Shroud - $2.99/£2.69/€2.99
Liberation Maiden - $2.99/£2.69/€2.99
Attack of the Friday Monsters! - $2.99/£2.69/€2.99
Starship Damrey - $2.99/£2.69/€2.99
Bugs vs. Tanks! - $2.99/£2.69/€2.99
Weapon Shop de Omasse - $2.99/£2.69/€2.99

I'll be honest here. The only reason we're talking about this is because Liberation Maiden is on sale! That is a Suda51 joint so you know I'm on it! I've heard great things about the other games listed and I'll give them a once over and see if I wish to add any of the other games to my digital library.

The Life & Hometown trunk is open for business as well and we've got a bit for you even before Christmas! Chestnuts & Chimneys all day!

Shinovi Versus has the Merry Christmas outfit & the Santa Set with 22 costumes for your Sexy Ninja Reindeer Games! Best part, you can get both for the low, low price of $FREE.99! Enjoy!

Bon Appétit is about bundling last week's goods in bundles for the best bang of the buck!

The Kitchen Treats Set includes all items from the Kitchen Mitts Set, Candy Party Set, Star Sugar Candy Set, Whipped Cream Set, Chikuwa & Narutomaki Set and Takoyaki for $5.99!

The Whipped Cream Set is a new set of costume items which include Whipped Cream, Whipped Cream (Pink) and Whipped Cream (Chocolate) for $0.49! As you may have already read is that this set is also a part of the Kitchen Treats Set as well.

The Two Costume Set includes all items from the Lunch Chef Set and Japanese Chef Set for $2.99!

#TheHustle is always proudly brought to you by Team GRF and People Like Us! Thank You!

What Did I Get Into This Week?

I played some Smash, King of Fighters XI, Def Jam: Fight for New York and a game I won't mention so I don't jinx that I'm back deep into it!

Really though, I'm trying to get back into having fun again! I've been taking dumb shit way too seriously recently and one of things I want to get back to is the purity of why I love games like I do and always have! I want this to feedback into things that should've been done months and years ago and I want to see how this ultimately progresses into something positive for me!

The Legend of Korrasami! I enjoyed every bit of the series but The Last Airbender is still the better of the two. One of the main reasons is because the show didn't get the same room to grow like TLA did and it ultimately hurt the final product by not letting the show be its best. The finale did what it did by giving closure but leaving it open to future adventures with Team Avatar and friends! Thanks, Bryke!

Since the usual suspects are on break or in the previous case over is I'm trying to take advantage of the down time by catching up on some shows and movies and here's where I am right now.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods was alright but the sequel looks to have some real promise. I love that Toriyama is really going the distance to make sure that GT is forgotten about or at least the missing time is filled in the way he wants it to be.

22 Jump Street was dumb in the way I love dumb shit! A must see in my opinion! Go watch it if you haven't!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was infinitely better than I expected to be. I enjoy that the movie canon is going to be its own thing similar what the current show is doing by taking what's there and making something original out of it in the process.

I started Shougeki Gouraigan and for 3 episodes is I'm down with the premise. This would've been a review of the show as whole but I ended up doing other things but by time we do this again I'll have some words but if your into some Toku and haven't watched it then give it a shot.

Shouts to Drive and the Secret Mission episodes. I enjoy these episodes and that they get a chance to explain backstory and tell side stories without disrupting or bogging the show down with it. Drive stays doing no wrong at the moment. Can't wait for Full Throttle to get the sub!

The end is nigh! What I Watched On The Internet This Week, DO THE THING!

Big Band is back for Episode 3!

New episode of TOME!

An episode of Did You Know Anime? featuring Joshua Seth who you may know as Tai Kamiya from Digimon. I'm glad to hear that he wants to come back to voice Tai for Adventure Tri and they should let him. Now somebody find Mark Gatha and tell him he is Domon Kashuu!

Shouts to izumojinX for this awesome combo video that covers the Vs. series before 3! Awesome work!

That shall be that!

Shouts to iahfy and I'd like to thank her for all her awesome art that I found when I discovered that Korrasami was a thing! Shame she's not drawing art like the above anymore but her art is awesome all the same and worth a look and just a click away if you click the picture which links to her Tumblr. If you like what what you see then be sure to show some love on her Patreon page so she can keep doing what she loves!

This Korrasami announcement is brought to you by #TeamKorrasami, iahfy, Team GRF and People Who Ship This Ship! Thank You!

Again, thanks Bryke for the many years of entertainment by sharing the Avatar universe with us and I hope we get more adventures in this universe really soon!

Happy Holidays from Me & Mine to You & Yours Part 1! Cherish these moments! Not because its the holidays but simply because every moment is precious!

We got one more of these in 2014 so come back so we can celebrate another year on the books!

Same #Korrasami time! Same #Korrasami channel!

Marvel vs. Capcom: Origins: Final Delisting Ultimate Extreme Turbo Edition!

I would learn this information a bit after this week's installment of #TheCool came out! Usually I can slide info like this into #TheCool before people notice but maybe because of Pinkie's Sweater Boob Window & THUG LIFE memes taking over is I can't now so you get this instead.

The only honest reason you should pick this up regardless of its soon to be delisted status is because of Marvel Super Heroes. There isn't a perfect port of the game anywhere in existence and the Dreamcast version of MvC1 is a whole lot better than what's in the collection because of playable Onslaught and Cross Fever Mode.

According to the post Combofiend made on Capcom Unity is the versions on PSN in US & Europe will be gone on the 23rd & everywhere on XBLA on the 31st. Reminds me when the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC was delisted way back when. Note: The link for XBLA version is for the US store so you may need to adjust for your hood depending on the circumstances.

$15 to get in before its gone.

If you're on the XBL side of the fence is there might be a sale before the 31st so if you can wait it out until then that's what I'd suggest. This is based off what happened when the Marvel 3 stuff was delisted so you'll have to take it just at that assumption.

If you're on the PSN side of the fence then you have until the 23rd when the next PSN update happens and then you're out of luck forever.

This has been a Public Service Announcement brought to you by Team GRF and People Like Us! Thank You!

I'll see y'all next week on #TheCool!

Until then!

#TheCool: I Cannot Confirm Or Deny If You Really Are Indeed About That Life!

#TheCool! Where last week gets the chance to be itself in unprecedented ways and this we welcome the opportunities with open arms!

As usual, #DoaGHThaDOJO's always in league to get the fiends served! What's on deck right now you ask?

Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code, Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe, Koihime Embu, BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma 2, Blade Arcus from Shining & Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes!

Fiends served as usual! This Week In Everything, please do what you do the best!

A remastering of DmC: Devil May Cry & Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition! YESSSSSSS! I knew there was a reason I never played anything past Mission 1 in DmC! It was like I knew the truth deep down inside my being! DMC4: SE is another story given what DMC4 already sort of laid out there so I don't know so I'm just going to play it and think no more of it!

This week in Street Fighter brings us confirmation that "Charlie Nash" is in SFV. Given what I know about canon and how Capcom pretends it doesn't exist when it sees fit to do so is the possibility is possible and that's all I'll say on that.

Also the Street Furry Fighters Costume Pack along with Omega Mode is out everywhere. So get it if you so choose.

Also in the streets at this very moment is The King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match Final Edition. In terms of content is the PS2 version is still the best but for all intents and purposes is the port gets the job done if you need to play THE version of 98UM. Something else about netcode but since playing fighting games online is a foreign concept to me I'd have no clue what you'd be even talking about anyway. You can pick up a copy HERE for $14.99 and the 2-Pack for $24.99 if you wish to share with a friend.

Riptor's finally out for KI if you own the Ultra Combo Pack for Season 2 but she'll be available for everybody on the 23rd. Also the complete collection of Season 1 & 2 is on sale for $53.99 which is 33% off the original price. You can check out more HERE and see if its right for you.

Guilty Gear XXX is out in the streets "officially" now and with that comes you playing Guilty Gear! Speaking of, as the usual thing with ASW stuff is there's a free character in Elphelt and she'll be free until January 15th! Game is cross-buy everything so you only need to download her once to have her in both places. You can get her HERE!

If you wish to check out the DLC schedule provided by Aksys you can do so HERE. Don't buy Sin. You can unlock him in the game. Just beat Story Mode and a couple runs through Arcade Mode should net him for you. Leo Whitefang will be out on the 23rd so keep an eye out to complete your roster.

IT HAPPENED! ITS HAPPENING! CASSIE'S IN LOST SWORDS! Then I remember how much characters actually cost in the game and while I loves me some her, I don't love anything that much! Welcome aboard anyway sweetie!

Also with your pre-order of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round nets you the Private Gravure Movies for Marie Rose, Phase-4, Nyotengu & the other new character that'll be announced on January 15th!

This week in Final Fantasy nets us the chance to hear the dub for Type-0 HD and XV! Enjoy!

While you get a chance to meet Uncle Mimic is that Pirate's Curse will be out on the eShop on Christmas Day! HURRAY!

Just the reminder that Criminal Girls: Invite Only will be out February 3rd! Pre-order your copy today!

Chrono Phantasma Extend is happening because ASW knows the game! As you can see it'll add Celica & Λ -No.11-., balance changes from the latest arcade version and there seems to be some additional stories for Bullet, Kokonoe & Kagura. I don't know if they'll be adding the Beach Episode from the Vita version but they should though. The game drops April 23rd in Japan on PSTRIPLEQUADRUPLE & #XBONE. Shouts to Filal Dos Games for these Famitsu scans.

Also coming to a hood near you soon is the sequel to All-Star Battle in Eyes of Heaven for PSTRIPLEQUADRUPLE. It would seem that the game is going to function more like the Storm games this time around with the addition of Tag Battles and such. 2 new characters that you see confirmed are Steel Ball Run's Diego Brando and Battle Tendency's Rudol von Stroheim. We'll get some questions about how the game works this weekend at Jump Festa. Shouts to ShonenGames for the translation of the scan and you can click the pic to be taken where it came from.

The Hustle's here and with 2014 coming to a close is there are sales everywhere but not a lot I'd suggest you get other than Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara on XBOX 360 for $5 a piece. Here's why though. After Burner Climax just disappeared into the ether but given what happened to OutRun Online Arcade it isn't surprising given that both games had licenses attached to them. Delistings are just a part of the digital marketplace and awesome games don't deserve to disappear but they do. So if you want them then snatch them so you can have them if a delisting happens. For $5 you're getting a lot of play and Scott Pilgrim has some DLC to add to the replay value in the Knives Chau & Wallace Wells packs. Of course Chronicles of Mystara contain both Tower of Doon & Shadow Over Mystara which are 2 of the genre's best so it seems like a sure shot to me and its normally $15 so for $5 for 2 of the best games in the genre is something you can't pass on in my view.

Of course I got the Life & Hometown trunk wide open for some Senran Kagura goodness so won't you take look at what we got this week!

Shinovi Versus is all about hair this week with Hairstyle Set 4! With it comes the Double Knot, Emo Cut, Lolita Cut, Loose Crop & Short Cut! $0.99 a piece or all of them as part of Hairstyle Set 4 for $2.99!

Bon Appétit not to be outdone has some new costume set items for you to enhance your cooking game!

TheCandy Party Set for $0.49 includes the costume items Milk Candy, Green Apple Candy and Strawberry Candy!

The Chikuwa & Narutomaki Set for $0.49 includes the costume items Awesome Chikuwa and Incredible Narutomaki!

The Japanese Chef's Set for $1.99 includes the costume items Japanese Chef's Uniform and Japanese Chef's Cap!

The Kitchen Mitt Set for $0.99 Includes the costume items Kitchen Mitt (Left Rock), Kitchen Mitt (Right Rock), Kitchen Mitt (Left Paper) and Kitchen Mitt (Right Paper)!

The Lunch Chef's Set for $1.99 Includes the costume items Lunch Lady's Uniform and Lunch Lady's Cap!

The Star & Sugar Candy Set for $0.99 includes the costume items 'Star Sugar Candy (Ball),' 'Star Sugar Candy (Heart),' 'Star Sugar Candy (Star)' and 'Star Sugar Candy (Round)!

And there's the Takoyaki for $0.49.

The Hustle is always proudly brought to you by Team GRF & People Like Us! Thank You!

What Did I Get Into This Week?

I did play some 98UM FE for 10 seconds though to confirm the questions I had about the port and I played Alpha 3 MAX on PSP with Maki for reasons I can't even recollect at the moment. I even played some Castlevania Judgment and I have some plans for that if I get around to them.

Before I get into the OUAT Winter Mid-Term Progress Report is I don't believe last time I forgot to talk about The Swag Incarnate, Shawn Hunter returning to Girl Meets World! It exceeded my expectations as a fan and I'm glad to know he'll be back for more episodes this season and Eric AKA The Good Looking Guy AKA Uncle Batman AKA Mr. Squirrels will be appearing in Season 2! HYPED!!!!

Now as far as Once goes, it delivered those goods! The Frozen stuff was well done and integrated but a shame we didn't get to see Elsa, Anna & Kristoff handle business proper in the end though but maybe there's a deleted scene of that too. The 2nd half is going to be that special kind of dumb that I love to death! Things happened in the Winter Finale that were game changing and as a fan I'm excited for March to come so we can see what happens next!

The usual suspects always hold me down and they have my thanks! Much is on break at the moment but I will step out and say that ToQGer & Bleach are on SUPER DUPER CLOWN MODE right now! Just letting you know!

Time to bring this one to a close as well! What I Watched On The Internet This Week, your turn!

Next time we say goodbye to The Legend of Korra but for now enjoy some dumb provided by the series!

I didn't make it in this episode of VoG but more Big Band and the introduction of some DLC that might be coming soon may be reasons you should tune in.

Steven Spielberg!! VERSUS!! Alfred Hitchcock!! BEGIN!!

The THUG LIFE Meme is dumb as fuck in the best way possible! I've spent the last 2 days just watching THUG LIFE videos and I understand why I find this shit so funny! It's a combination of stupidity, accidental fuckery & music as the punchline that I grew up loving! THUG LIFE is the funniest shit I've seen in quite a while and the above super drop should get you caught up with to where the meme sits now. It is some true gems that I love and I was going to feature those but I want y'all to join me down this rabbit hole that is THUG LIFE!

That shall be that for now!

Speaking of "memes" is that the current "meme" on Tumblr is the Sweater Boob Window! Y'all know I'm down with that Pinkie Life! This aint no secret so I figured I could kill lots of birds with stones and say thanks to Bubbleberry Sanders for drawing the best pink pony in the game right now!! Fetish Fridays be da bestest party son!! Get familiar! You can click the picture to be linked to his Tumblr or click the link for his deviantArt page! Just so you know, Bubbleberry Sanders draws sexy Pinkie and doesn't care if you do so if you click something know that is the case and don't come back and get mad at me. Just saying!

That shall be that!

Real quick, I changed my name on Twitter for a more unified look to represent this movement like I should've a long time ago! @TripleDaGOD if you're looking for your boy!

Next time, we send the Korrasami ship out with a bang! The "end" of The Legend of Korra!

Come and join in the celebration with us!

Same #TheCool time! Same #TheCool channel!

#GamingBucketList: The Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (NES)

Three of the NES' best offerings in everything that it does. An awesome series that at the time was revolutionary in its action, gameplay and storytelling and has since changed how games are approached & created. However, these 3 games are not without their special flaws and faults which in turn makes them special and fondly remembered for better or worse. This GBL is going to be a bit different because these are 3 games that I could explain to you but to me there's something organic about the experience in 2014 that's a ride that needs to be taken at least once in full. My job here today is to take a look at what these 3 games have to offer and really take a look at what would've made these games even greater then and more legendary and playable now.

Before we start though a very important thing you need to know and understand.

The above and also their inclusion in Ninja Gaiden (XBOX) isn't the proper way to experience these games. Now the versions in the Trilogy do fix some small problems especially in comparison to the US version of NG3 and adding the password system for all 3 games but it butchers everything else in translation on top of not fixing some major things that were wrong in the NES games to begin with. So avoid at all costs especially in 2014 where you can easily get the NES games on the eShop.

Now that you know that you should never play Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for any reason let's get to the gritty of the matter.

What's right and what's so wrong with these 3 games?

The one thing I can say is that in the design of the 3 there's a lot of ebb and flow. Each game in the series does what its supposed to do. 1 laid the foundation and 2 & 3 improve on the original concept while trying to be its own independent entity in which all the games do wonderfully well and in a game series such as this that's all you can really ask for.

For all the games do to innovate they're held back by horrible design decisions that don't hold it back for the admiration they've received and continue to but when looked at in the year 2014 stick out like a sore thumb.

THE horrible design decision that is on trial here is...balance! In one way or another each game does something or multiple things that upset this balance which lead to horrible gameplay experiences.

The biggie that all 3 games share is how enemies work and how Ryu works in those confines.

With 1 & 2 you have some questionable and I mean QUESTIONABLE enemy placement, respawning enemies & Ryu's horrible knockback when hit which all combine for lots of frustration until you learn how to work around these things. Yeah, I'll mention just for the sake of mentioning it is that why in NG1 does a bullet do 1 point of damage but a hawk flying at you at high speed does 3? They at least adjusted the hawk damage to 1 in NG2 but there was no way I was going to talk about these games and not mention that hawk.

2 did add the ability to climb up the sides of most surfaces and being able to use Ninja Powers while doing so didn't leave Ryu so defenseless in those situations and made having a 1 sided wall jump as a part of your advanced tricks less of a must but still great to have anyhow.

3 sees to the majority of all these problems especially the whole knockback issue which is godsend except in trade for non-respawing enemies is that there are a whole lot more of them instead. You also can hang on and cross certain ledges as well (Shouts to Shadow of the Ninja but actually Ninja Gaiden Arcade did it as well just so you know.) which does help in your offensive approach to either sneak by or get the jump on enemies.

When it comes to how Ryu fights back is that trilogy goes on a vision quest to find the right balance but I don't know if it actually works out.

1 I believe started on the right path with what you had available and in keeping the cost of of using Ninja Powers low even though you could stock 99 Ninja Points is that you'd never find enough pickups at any given time in an Act to take advantage of this fact because you were too busy using them because of the onslaught of QUESTIONABLY placed & respawning enemies. 1's only fault was how the Invincible Fire Wheel was handled. While being an awesome powerup is that you gave up a whole lot for 8 seconds of invincibility because not only do you give up your current Ninja Power to use it but if you didn't make it to where you were going or picked one up when you didn't mean to is that it could put you in a real bad spot. 6-2, I'm talking to you here!

2 added the Fire Dragon Balls which while having their use is in my honest view should've been an additional use of the Art of the Fire Wheel so you didn't have choose to whether you wanted have a Ninja Power that shot up or down at an angle; Shadow Clones which some people say break the balance of some boss fights but as in Highschool DxD having a balance breaker in game like this one isn't such a bad thing. Also given the fact that in order to even use the Shadow Clones to even break those fights takes proper positioning of the Shadow Clones and in some cases having the correct Ninja Power and enough Ninja Points to cheese the boss to even make it work that way. Shadow Clones are very helpful and proper use of them will see you to the end though.

When it comes to the Ninja Powers from the transition from 1 to 2 is that the normal & Windmill Shuriken now cost 5 & 10 Ninja Points & the Art of the Fire Wheel now costs 8 and so do the Fire Dragon Balls for the record. The Invincible Fire Wheel is now a normal Ninja Power that can be collected and used at will. It's still a great Ninja Power to have even at 15 Ninja Points a use but the duration is 5 seconds instead 8. The balance of Ninja Powers in this game seem to be that while Ninja Powers cost a tad bit more is that Ninja Points are a lot more plentiful in trade and come in either 10 point or full refill pickups instead of the more common 5 and less common 10 in part 1. Also, instead of having a hard max at 99 is that you start at 40 but in every Act except 1 and 2 in Act 7 is you can find secret scrolls that raise your total Ninja Points by 10 which as you get further in the game help to make sure you have what you need to make it through the tougher sections. A big change from 1 to 2 is the fact that not only do you start every life with a Shuriken so you're not without a Ninja Power and if you so happen to die is your Ninja Points are no longer cut in half which does help a bit if you have a bunch of Ninja Points upon death is you'll have use of the Shuriken if you so need to during a hard section on that next life. Continuing does start you with 10 Ninja Points upon restart which even then should be just as helpful in a tough room starting fresh.

3 while keeping most of 2's conventions dropped the Shadow Clones and the regular Shuriken so now you start every life with the Windmill Shuriken instead. The Invincible Fire Wheel now costs 20 Ninja Points for 4 seconds of invincibility making it a bit less potent this go around. You also have a new Ninja Power in the Art of the Vacuum Wave which given the placement of some enemies mainly when you're hanging on something is very, very helpful. The 2 major changes are that now you can see what's inside a Dragon Spirit Crystal before you hit it which is a hugely welcome change of not knowing at all or having to memorize what's where like the previous games and there's also a power up for the Dragon Sword that increases its range and power which is very helpful for clearing paths and keeping Ryu a bit more out of harm's way in situations that call of careful spacing.

The one thing I've always praised the series upon when it comes to balance is how the time allotted per Scene, checkpoints and continues are handled.

When it comes to checkpoints is that you'd always start at the part of the Act at the Scene & screen in which you died unless that death was at the hands of the boss which would send you back to the last screen of the Scene before the boss. Using a continue would send you back to the first screen of the Scene in which you died which I've always believed was fair and encouraged players to give it another go without losing too much progress in not only the game itself but in learning the game inside and out.

NG1 is famous for 6-4/5 for which I now understand is a programming error seeing as somebody almost fixed the checkpoint marker but somehow broke the game in process. The side of the story that doesn't get told is that if you make it 6-4 and defeat one of the bosses or 6-5 is that the game does remember that you have so you don't have to fight that boss again. When you think about it in that context and seeing as it wasn't fixed in Trilogy is that going back to 6-1 upon death in 6-4/5 may have been intentional and not some glitch. Hopefully whomever was working on that patch finishes it because that would change how people enjoy and perceive the game as a whole with that being fixed. You could always just save state at the beginning of 6-3 and give yourself an artificial checkpoint that way if you choose.

2 fixes this and you can take huge advantage of that fact to beef yourself between the final battles by picking up additional Scrolls to increase your Ninja Points.

3 stays the course except for the fact that each individual Scene no longer has its own timer so what becomes a thing in this game in later stages is making it to a boss with no time to fight it on the life you made it there on which is weird in and of itself.

However, the US/Trilogy versions of NG3 buck everything that came before it by not only sending you back to the beginning of a Scene no matter what screen you died in but limiting you to 5 continues as well. This from my own personal understanding had a lot to do with the climate of gaming back then.

Once Upon a Time there was place called Blockbuster Video where you could rent a game for 3 to 5 days and in order to keep people from beating games in one go is that games were altered to increase difficulty which was supposed to encourage actual retail purchases of said games but instead may have had the inverse effect instead.

In 3's case, Ryu took more damage from enemy attacks, item placement was altered and the password system was taken out as well.

Because we live in 2014 is that you have options to deal with this. My suggestion is just to play the Japanese version which is the answer in a lot of cases to be honest. In that case you can do what most people do is YouTube the cutscenes between Acts so not to miss a beat. If having the game in English but having most of what the Japanese version offered outside of the Ninja Points & Dragon Spirit Crystal placements is you can patch a NG3 rom WITH THIS and have at it that way. Humongous shouts to MottZilla for the hard work it took to get those features back in there! Awesome, awesome work!

That is this series laid to bare but what does it all mean though?

For me, getting this from experiences to thoughts and then to you is that I can see what would've made a Ninja Gaiden 4 THE 16-Bit Ninja Action Experience! I honestly think 3 was on the ball for the most part and would've been a great foundation for it. That game would have to up the ante because for its time Tecmo Theater was revolutionary. That's not to say there weren't story scenes in games but the Ninja Gaiden series showed what you could do and thankfully gaming never turned back from that. All the game needed to do was follow up on 3 in a way that was challenging but balanced and with 3 damn near doing that is it wouldn't have taken much. What could've been!

When I think about the 16-Bit era and the Ninja games within it is that Shinobi took the ball and ran with it. The Revenge of Shinobi & Shinobi 3 are 2 of the best Genesis games point blank period. I will though take the time to shout out a not widely known SNES game in Hagane: The Final Conflict that I really feel was that game that brought that Shinobi feel to the SNES. The game is a must play and it's a damn shame it isn't on the eShop because I would love nothing more for more people to experience that game in a legal way but that's a Konami issue so I wouldn't bet on seeing it anytime soon.

Regardless, I do urge you to spend some time with it and while you're out go pick up 3D Shinobi 3 on 3DS. M2 worked hard to bring you every game in that lineup, put all their love and soul in it too and that deserves to be rewarded by them for doing it and you for getting an opportunity to experience a classic like Shinobi 3 in a brand new way!

We all know what happened next. Itagaki reintroduced Ryu back to the masses in Dead or Alive which lead to some of the best character action games ever seen and if somebody has an NG1 XBOX Intercept save they'd wish to share with everybody else then please do so!

For better or worse the NES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy changed the game in everything that it did and those revolutionary things are still seen and felt in games even right now and that's something that can't be denied no matter how much you try!

It feels so good to get another GBL out there. It has been way too long since the last one but I got the gaming bug and it lead to this for you so I can't be mad at that!

You know what to do next and I expect you do it as soon as possible! I do nothing more but provide the map but it'll always be up to you to take that first step and the following ones on your journey!

Until next time!

Before we get into the spectacle that is #TheCool is how about we highlight the spectacle that is #GamingBucketList! Been a while since I last did one but I had that combo of game on something and write something about it mojo going and what came from it is a look at the Ninja Gaiden NES Trilogy! Awesome set of games for better or worse and very important games to my informative years that to this day affect how I see and approach gaming as whole. So read up and enjoy this one because who knows when the next one will come!

As usual #DoaGHThaDOJO's serving up the goodness and on deck right now for your viewing pleasure...

Daemon Bride Additional Gain, Koihime Embu, BlazBlue ChronoPhantasma, Arcana Heart 3 Love Max SIX STARS!!!!!!, Blade Arcus from Shining, Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe, Fate/Unlimited Codes, Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code V1.07, & Battle Arena Toshinden 2!

As you can see Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes is back and we're happy to welcome The King of Fighters '95 to the stable as well! Enjoy this! I do it for y'all and me too!

Fiends are served! This Week In Everything do that thing!

The Playstation Experience of PSX as it were happened and there were some things we are now privy to! So, let's see if that list was built.

This is Street Fighter 5. Looks a lot like Street Fighter 4. This is sad because it shows that Capcom isn't down with taking a risk but feeding the streets more of the same. This should've been Darkstalkers or Tatsunoko vs Capcom 2 or Rival Schools or Capcom Fighting All-Stars! Just anything but this. I'm going to play it. I have to own a PS4 to do so. But unlike 2008 when that first SF4 article dropped and I was excited beyond belief now I could care less about that game and this one. This is what 6 years does to people. I'll be tuning in to Capcom Cup to see the gameplay live for myself and we'll see if I can be swayed from my current position.

Speaking of "needing" a PS4 to play something is Ultra SF4 is coming exclusively to PS4 as well and I'm not caring too much about this either. Good for those who stayed begging for it and now you have it. Revel in it.

Persona 5 is now a PSTRIPLEQUADRUPLE release now! So you'll be able to get it no matter how you do.

YAKUZA 5! #BUILDDATLISTBAYBEE! Justice was served, digitally. I have no idea how I get this on my shelf but I'm glad we have it. Let's see if everybody making noise about it actually shows up to support this awesome endeavor.

And that was PSX. At least the parts that I actually pay attention to. Shovel Knight is also coming to PSTRIPLELIFEQUADRUPLE with an additional Kratos boss fight but I've already had my SK fix so I don't know if the double dip will happen here but you never know.

How does Tekken celebrate 20 years in the game?

By introducing this girl to Tekken 7. Making people on the internet indulge in their stupid. Followed by a Harada troll tweet that showed how much "game journalists" care about "game journalism" by not doing their jobs!

In other words, the internet on an everyday basis. What happened with Lucky Chloe happens everyday because of how the internet works. The internet doesn't obey the rule of what to do when you have nothing nice to say. More of you should obey this rule so I don't have to be subjected to the nonsense. This is a Public Service Announcement brought to you by Team GRF and People Like Us! Thank You!

DoA5U would like to say thanks for the support, Happy Holidays & see you for Last Round! This pack of costumes is the last DLC for Ultimate so I figured you'd want to know about that! Get the pack for $17.99 with costumes for Ayane, Ein, Hayate, Helena, Hitomi, Kasumi, Kokoro, Leifang, Marie Rose, Momiji, Nyotengu & Phase-4! Get it on PSTRIPLE or XBOX 360! Enjoy!

By time you read this is that Ace Attorney Trilogy should be available on 3DS so if you aren't familiar with the first 3 episodes then feel free to dive in. $29.99 to do so!

Coming soon to PC is a game I'd never would've ever thought would leave the arcade in Gunslinger Stratos Reloaded! I just want to play this so bad and I'll be keeping an eye on it.

In the maybe Christmas miracle is Shantae and the Pirate's Curse should be hitting the eShop for WiiU that day! This could change but for now expect it then!

Coming soon to #DoaGHThaDOJO is the sequel to Nitro+ Royale: Heroines Duel in Nitro+ Blasters: Heroines Infinite Duel! Looks like the setup is a bit like Project Justice with the 1 Point + 2 Assists going for it. I'm definitely interested in seeing more and soon as there's something I'll will have it. Who's in though?

Playable Characters
Ein (Phantom of Inferno)
Mora (Kyuuketsu Senki Vjedogonia)
Sansei Muramasa (Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa)
Saber (Fate/Zero)

Assist Characters
Supika (Star Mine Girl)
Natsumi Aibara (Hello, World)
Dragon (Dra+Koi)
Super Sonico (SoniComi)

You might not recognize the majority of the cast but maybe Super Sonico and a throwback to the 1st game with Saber returning you just might! The roster should be growing as we get closer to release and I'm looking forward to serving this to you in the near future.

What Did I Get Into This Week?

Played a bunch of Ninja Gaiden as you know and a bunch of Rockman 4 Minus Infinity as you now know! Enjoyed the hell out of both and will play more soon!

I know y'all been waiting for this! Winter Break is here so this a perfect time to take a look at where shows are and where I hope they'll go when they come back from break!

Gotham's been on break for a minute and I didn't even notice. I will say this much. This show is great at setting up the what we know and shaking it up enough to keep you guessing at what's going to happen next. Where the show left is interesting for multiple reasons including getting some very important character development for a very special character so I'll be very interested in seeing how's that's handled in the 2nd half of the season.

The Originals stays going hamsterdom! Where the show went before the break was a very brief calm and a huge storm to follow. The 2nd half of the season has a lot of things that need to be dealt with and the show stays good at dealing with things and being entertaining while doing so. I'm ready for the 2nd half and whatever it shall bring.

The Flash being some of the best TV isn't a surprise. Knowing that the show is going to deliver on the promise of being some of the best TV isn't either. I look forward to watching this show every week and I know the 2nd half is going to be great and continue to build on this strong foundation of great characters and storytelling.

Arrow still beasting and where the show is right now is the best place could be. The 2nd half of the season is going to really embrace the possibilities that having The Flash as a part of this universe and this I love! Bring it on!

The Vampire Diaries has done a great job of establishing actual threats since Klaus left for Nawlins. This season is no different and the direction the show's going is the way it should be heading. The one thing I don't agree with is that the 2 shows don't interact as much as they should and in other cases where a problem could be solved by a character on another show and they completely ignore the possibility but I know why this is but I'll lodge the complaint anyhow. The 2nd half is going to be good given where the show is so I'll be waiting for its return as well

I'll have my take on Once next time so be sure to tune in for that!

Shouts to the rest of the rotation in Korra, South Park, TMNT, Bob's Burgers, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Kamen Rider Drive. ToQGer & Bleach for continuing to fight the good fight of keeping me entertained week in and week out! Your sacrifice is appreciated!

What Did I Get Into This Week?

Played a bunch of Azure Striker Gunvolt! What I mean by this is play the intro stage trying to get a S+ and still currently working on it. Closest I got was a bit under 20,000 points so it is possible. I do understand that if I'd actually venture out to beat a boss I'll get a better gun for Gunvolt but if I'm just 20,000 shy then it can be done with what I have. Tune in next week to see if I make the grade!

Mighty Gunvolt is the business! Played a bit of this as well but haven't picked up the DLC quite yet because of trying to get that S+ but I enjoyed what I played of it and the update does wonders for making the game more enjoyable so a must get for any 3DS owner I say!

To answer last week's question, I did play more Smash. On the 3DS because I was out and had some time for a Smash Run or 2 with Shulk. Know this, the WiiU version is getting played! Just not by me. I have a feeling you'll be seeing the fruits of this exchange soon.

In the I Found It On Accident Moment of the Week is TifaTanX2! This game is nuts! Shouts to HG101 for putting me on it! I didn't think I'd be in the lab deep on a game like this but this is the situation right now. If you want to know more about it then read the HG101 article and if you want to download a demo or buy a copy then you can from DLSite or MelonBooks! Don't be surprised if I get to explaining it all on this someday! OH, IF YOU SKIPPED READING THE HG101 ARTICLE KNOW THIS IS SOME NSFW STUFF SO 18+ OR DO WHATEVER YOU WANT! JUST DON'T TELL YOUR MOMMY, DADDY OR PARENTAL GUARDIAN THAT THE ONE AND ONLY IS TRYING TO RUIN YOUR YOUNG LITTLE MIND! THIS HAS BEEN A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT BROUGHT TO YOU BY I DON'T WANT TO GET SUED! THANK YOU!

Flash vs Arrow! This first crossover event delivered the goods! They did go the self-contained route though by having separate stories but I have a feeling future events will do the more traditional 2 shows 1 storyline crossover! As I always say with crossovers is that the point is to make both properties look their best and this did just that and then some. The fanservice was in full effect everywhere and where the shows go forward and my thoughts will have to wait until next week when the Winter Break begins and I can give a full status report on where all my favorite shows are!

Got a chance to finally watch Highschool DxD New and it delivered the goods again! As I've said before the anime is perfect for fleshing out the light novels to bring what you've read full circle. No idea if a Season 3 is coming but I hope so!

Finished Garo: The One Who Shines In The Darkness and that went places! Places for the sake of the narrative that it needed to and I'm so glad to hear we'll be seeing more of Ryuga and the crew sometime next year. A must watch. Next for me is Shougeki Gouraigan and then Garo: Makai no Hana after that! Can't wait for that goodness!

Wrestling has been abuzz this week with not only CM Punk finally breaking his silence as to why he left the WWE but Vinnie Mac Diesel was on Stone Cold's Podcast this week speaking about the current state of the WWE and some must listen stuff for any wrestling or sports entertainment fan.

You can listen to Episode 226 & 227 of Colt Cabana's The Art of Wrestling Podcast featuring CM Punk &

you can watch the Stone Cold & Vince stuff in that video above! Enjoy that!

The usual suspects as usual are doing the dirt and I'll be grading mid-terms in the next installment so I'm just waiting to see how these goods will be delivered! SO HYPE!!!

Kunoichi: Broken Princess is out there on the internet somewhere! You're on your own and you're warned of the 18+ thing so I don't get sued thing! Thanks!

This installment must now come to a close. What I Watched On The Internet This Week please do what you do!
