I was able to confirm that the licensed DLC from the Japanese version has been taken out and replaced with characters that represent the various Dodgeball games, Nekketsu Mahou Monogatari and Downtown Nekketsu Special. All of the other DLC is included in the package so go ahead and get some Kunio in your life!
In your hood right now is the Afterbirth DLC for The Binding of Issac: Rebirth on Steam for $10.99 or in a bundle with the base game for $19.98. A release date for the other versions are unknown at this time but when they do become available I'll let you know.

Coming soon to Freedom Planet is a whole bunch of DLC. Here's a quote straight from The Official Freedom Planet Facebook Page about this very subject.
"We will be releasing our DLC in two batches. The first DLC set includes Milla's Adventure mode and Torque as a playable character, and will be released on PC/Mac/Linux this December. Spade requires additional content and will be released sometime next year. We will try our hardest for a prompt Wii U release for both updates, but we can't be certain about it until it's submitted."
So when these things become available I will report it so just stay tuned for all the latest info!
Fighting Climax Ignition is about to drop on December 17th and to give you even more there are 3 new assists that'll be at your disposal.
Tomo Asama from Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Iriya Kana from Iriya no Sora & UFO no Natsu and Zero from Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho are the 3 chosen for this task. They'll be in the console port but no word when an update for the arcade version will come out to reflect these additions. News when I have it.

Gust is taking a turn for the darker side with Nights of Azure dropping on March 29th. Been a fan of their games and a new direction should only help diversify how they put in this work.
