Mewtwo is hitting Smash on April 15th if you registered with Club Nintendo and on April 28th for everybody else!

In other Smash news...I GOT OTHER MY MAIN BACK! Lucas will be bringing the PK Pain sometime in June!

Coming soon as well are new DLC costumes for Mii Fighters featuring X & Proto Man and some stuff from Zelda as well. All of the individual pieces of the DLC are $0.75 per system or $1.15 for both WiiU & 3DS. You can get all the costumes in a bundle for $6 per system or $9.20 for both systems.

Also, Nintendo has opened the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot and you can allegedly vote for whomever you want but the impossible will be ignored so be sure to keep your votes realistic.

I've been thinking of voting for either Bayonetta because why in the hell not! Krystal because Krystal! Shantae because Shantae! Saki & Airan/Isa & Kachi as a duo or just one of those characters on their own because the world could use more Sin & Punishment. Was also thinking Ray Mk.II because it should've been a playable fighter a long time ago. I really want to vote for Mike & ST Falcon/Rola & ST Spika/Carol & ST Tornado but trying to figure out how that would work outside of a kickass Final Smash eludes even me. Dixie Kong too but I have a feeling she doesn't need my vote. I wish I could vote for Tharja but that's a wasted vote for all the wrong reasons. Thing is we all have plenty of time to figure it out. October 15th to be exact. So take some time to think it out because who you choose could soon be a part of history! Choose well! Cast your vote HERE!

Looks like we finally know what came of the Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem collaboration...Illusory Revelations #FE! To be honest it looks more like a Persona game than anything but the premise of a fantasy world side by side with a future metropolis looks like it can work. I'm totally down with whatever they do and I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. It'll be dropping in GLORIOUS NIPPON before the end of the year. What that means for everybody else is anybody's guess at the moment.

We learned a bit more about Fire Emblem if. It seems to be taking a hint from Pokémon in how the game is being structured. The game has 2 separate scenarios depending on what version you buy and then after that if you want the other side of the story is you can purchase the DLC for it. There's also a 3rd part to the puzzle which I assume bridges the two versions as well. I have no idea if this handling of the game will be the same when it hit MURICA but more Fire Emblem is more Fire Emblem so there!

If you peeped the JP side of the Nintendo Direct is the streets got the first real look at Dragon Ball Z: Super Extreme Butōden and man it looks so good! I just want to play this so here's hoping somebody gets to localizing this for us.

Also over that way was a new look at Dai Gyakuten Saiban as well. Game's looking good and I can't wait to get my hands on it when I get the chance.

What Did I Get Into This Week?

Not much gaming wise other than some bits of Pokémon Shuffle & Senran Kagura Burst on some down time.

Watching stuff however? Did a bunch of that!

A bit after last week's installment dropped was Drive vs Ninninger hit the streets and as the lead in to Super Hero Taisen GP is that it was more of a balance between that and a legitimate crossover. My only problems were not enough Ninninger interaction and no Kiriko doing the Ninninger dance. Missed opportunity there. Should be fun to put this all in perspective once the movie and the Kamen Rider 4 special hit the streets proper.

Archer has safely landed back in the Danger Zone and I'm so glad I decided to add it to the weekly usual suspects because it delivered the laughs from end to end. Go get some Archer in your life!

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 5 is here and the 2 parter to kick us off didn't disappoint. Only question I have is how much of this season will follow the flow these episodes laid out. The show has been getting a foothold more into the balance between the plot and the slice of life episodes in recent seasons so it'll be interesting to see how they balance the two out this time around.

I had a DC Double Feature with Batman vs Robin and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis and they both delivered the goods. They both serve the purpose as their predecessors of being abridged versions of stories you should read when you get the chance.

GO AND WATCH STEVEN UNIVERSE!!!! I always meant to watch it but never had the time until I made time for it this weekend and I'm glad I did! This show is everything right and none of the wrong you'd think the show on the surface could make. Steven and the Crystal Gems are characters you become heavily invested very quickly. They become characters you laugh with when its funny, characters you also want to root for when things get crazy and these same characters go through the emotional ringer which will make you reflect inward when the show gets really deep when these heavy scenes show up. Before you know it you'll have a favorite Crystal Gem (Amethyst) and are even working on your own Gemsona (Still workshopping it). The only thing I'll let you know is that it takes a bit for the show to come together but once it does it doesn't stop. If you've been on the fence or haven't even considered taking a look then this is the time to do it. The downside is that this is still a cartoon on a kids network and scheduling is a pain so you have to do the legwork to keep up with the new episodes but based off what I've seen and what you will too is that its well worth the work!

Speaking of horrible scheduling choices for kid shows is Dino Charge is on hiatus until August/September or so I've heard. At least this nonsense is something I'm used to by now. 8 episodes in is Dino Charge is great for simply doing its own thing while working around the limited Sentai footage they've actually been using so far. The wait shall be long but grin and bear it I shall.

The usual suspects are doing their thing with Flash, Arrow & Sailor Moon Crystal going Beyond Thunderdome Nutzo because that's now nuts it got. The Originals is back this week with GOT HAM & The Vampire Diaries coming back the week after and it should be smooth sailing until the end of the season. At least I hope so.

I have to get ready to plan the summer marathons because I slacked hard on actually getting them in last year. I have a couple of shows I really want to get into and if they line up right then I'll be on them. You'll get the 411 as I knock them down.

#TheCool X #DiaryofaBlogWhoreReviewEdition Special Edition: WrestleMania 31

My review of WrestleMania got so out of control that I had to spin it off in its own post. So read on if you wish to know how The One and Only saw Sports Entertainment's Grandest Spectacle through his own eyes!

Here we are once again. Staring agape in "awe" at the grandest stage of them all. So what exactly happened.

Cesaro/Kidd retained and Big Show won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal but it was on the pre-show and nobody actually watches that.

WrestleMania started off real proper like with with the 7-man Intercontinental Title Ladder Match and that was a damn good match. My boy Dean got done in...

and Ziggler & Barrett got shafted again. Daniel Bryan won so now he's 2 for 2 at winning titles at Mania. New streak?

Orton/Rollins was so damn good and even with Orton winning was Rollins looked damn awesome in a losing effort.

There was also the above. Damn good spot. Seth is the future! "Believe That!"

Sting/HHH was shenanigans and fuckery on the highest scale. The match was great all around with DX & the nWo getting involved and even HHH coming out like Terminator was kind of cool. The problem I have with all this is the revisionist history that was on display here and has been for years since the Monday Night Wars ended. It is true what they say, "History is dictated by those who win and those who lose are lucky to be a footnote in that history." The WWE can tell whatever version of the story they wish and who's going to honestly stop them from telling that version "THEN. NOW. FOREVER." I wonder what that story looks like in 20 or 30 years once WWE contorts it even further to their liking? Enjoyable match regardless of HHH winning for the sake of revisionist history.

Some people I don't give a damn about performed music and I took a well needed break after all the fuckery from the last match.

Paige/AJ Lee vs The Bella Twins was next up and it was all about Senran Kagura Burst because I played Senran Kagura Burst during the match. Nothing against any of these women but I don't watch matches where I'm not in some way invested in the feud in question.

I went back and watched the match after the fact and it was good and even better in the fact AJ Lee made Nikki Bella tap. #GiveDivasAChance

Rusev/Cena began like this...

and then ended the way you knew it inevitably would...

!

All I can ask is why? How does John Cena winning benefit anybody? It doesn't. The way the storyline played out is there was no way that he was losing but why didn't Swagger just beat him when they were wrestling every week for a nice long while? This does nothing for Cena and Rusev just lost all of his steam. I hope they can continue to book Rusev as a great heel because he still can be. I'll miss Lana's legs because damn DEM LEGS! Cena is once again your United States Champion. Wonder if he'll bring back the spinner US Title?

After this, Stephanie & HHH come out to stall for time and they both proceeded to use power shovels to bury the damn world and then The Rock came out because that's what Rocky do which somehow led to me now understanding that a 3-Way with me, Stephanie and Ronda Rousey is an acceptable way of leaving this plane of existence. Maybe this leads to more Ronda & the WWE doing things like you know it will. Just wait until SummerSlam. You'll see.

Wyatt/Taker needed to happen when it actually mattered because of what Bray could've done with ending the streak. Instead, Bray was just another victim of CENA WINS LOL last year. We also know that Brock or Heyman didn't really do anything with ending the streak other than the initial shock factor of it happening because looking at it now in retrospect is Brock could've still been booked as an attraction and all that other nonsense Vince thinks he wanted to do without Undertaker having to job last year. Also as I said last year is after that 2nd match with HHH is he should've retired and let the streak go with him.

Regardless of all of that it was good to see Taker go again and Bray did his thing as well in a losing effort.

We now come to our Main Event of Lesnar/Reigns! Let me take a second to show you visually how the world feels about Roman Reigns...

Well let me not say the world. More like a small and very loud minority. This is the same dude that this same small and very loud minority cheered for at the Royal Rumble in 2014 which started all of this in the first place. Making beds and lying in them.

Lesnar/Reigns was not a wrestling match but more of a 1 sided Brock destruction clinic that Reigns tried his best to laugh off, no-sell and even lost a tooth in the process. Reigns wasn't totally devoid of offense with a couple of Superman Punches and Spears during the midst of all this.

When we thought the reign of Reigns was about to begin an architect came from upon high and finished his masterpiece which led to this...

SETH ROLLINS CASHED IN MONEY IN THE BANK AND WON THE WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We knew it was going to happen at some point whether that was at Mania or the RAW After but this was inevitable one way or the other, This is perfect for a bunch of reasons. Seth's the champion. Roman isn't and that's great for him because we get the opportunity to see him chase Seth and win it. Brock didn't lose and still looks like a monster so again this begs the question of why Undertaker jobbed last year.

Damn great show and I enjoyed watching it! What will RAW be like tonight when the fallout at the RAW After Mania takes place? I'll have that for you next time we do what we do here.

Did I mention that these costumes can be destroyed? Just awesome stuff all around. It also looks like we have some info on the mystery girl who was data mined a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Josie Risal from the Philippines and her fighting style is Eskrima & Kick Boxing. I have to say that I'm loving the Tekken 3 vibe the game is giving off. Looks like we're going back to a more manageable roster for 7 but anything could change from now until then. Shouts to Harada for the international flavor so far with all the newcomers! Awesome stuff!

Liu Kang is back for MKX and the how and why isn't surprising after 9. Erron Black has been confirmed as well and Mortal Monday is happening on a Tuesday.

What Did I Get Into This Week?

You already know. I'm hoping getting back into the swing of just recording leads into something. The gears are turning and I just want to make something out of it. We'll see what comes from that.

Season 1 of Empire has come to a close and saying it delivered the goods would be the understatement of ever! If you aren't familiar then with this chapter closed is this is the best time to get caught up on everything Empire! Must watch TV! Just so you know is last week's title was an Empire reference if you were wondering where it came from.

The Flash & Arrow returned by going straight crazy out of the gate! I'm so glad that there's no more breaks until the end of the season! This as well is must watch TV!

ToQGer vs Kyoryuger was an awesome watch and a nice bonus to see Daigo & the crew once more. I will say the small twist the movie brings to the table should've been featured in the show more in my opinion. Again it was great seeing both casts interact as VS movies lend itself to.

The sequel to Transformers: Prime in Robots in Disguise is out and as a "sequel" to the series is that while you don't need to watch Prime to get what RiD is doing. The thing is that you should watch Prime because its a great series. You should give RiD a shot regardless because it looks to be some great Transformers TV.

You should get iZombie on your radar and not because Rose McIver is a goddess but because the show is very good. I enjoy the most that it just takes the early premise of iZombie and runs with it versus what iZombie became later. Read iZombie when you get the chance.

Speaking of reading is that I'm finally catching up on the awesome Archie Mega Man comic. I just love how much care and love is a part of each and every page. How much it dives into the lore of the series in a way that just works. This as well is a must read.

Shouts to the Curleh Mustache Battle Royale 5 for an awesome show. Even I can enjoy some great Mahvel 3 play when its on display.

All of the rest of the usual suspects are doing what they do best and as always we thank their efforts in their continued entertainment of just doing what they do.

#TheCool: J-J-J-JESUS BREAKER!

#TheCool's in the building and as usual have last week all ready to be served straight to you.

Before we get into the business at hand a couple of things of note.

Super Metroid is on an indefinite hiatus until Nintendo figures out what they want to do about YouTube and all that goes with it. The last video I put up was a test to see if Nintendo would even catch it and do something about it and as of now they've done nothing. As much as I want to continue is that I don't want to take that chance and think I'm safe from the wrath and catch a bad one because of it. This is also the reason why it took so long between the last 2 episodes was because every time I was ready to do an episode I'd always catch wind of Nintendo making a move and it just completely killed my momentum in doing it. As soon as I know the coast is clear is that I'll be back on it. This does change #DayoftheBasedGOD plans a little bit but I'm the planning stages of a backup plan so you'll just have to wait until then to see what comes from this.

The Diary of a Game Whore Archive channel is about to be updated and because YouTube has changed how you get the message out to your subscribers is that I'd figure I warn everybody. The last time I did a mass exodus update is folks unsubscribed in droves even though the warning was given in advance. That was for the main channel though but I have to prove I've learned from my mistakes. I don't know when that work is going to begin but I plan for it to be done before #DayoftheBasedGOD so be expecting that.

I've started to overhaul old blog entries especially from the last 2 years or so. How Blogger works when embedding and my improvement in using it have made it better looking so I want to have streamline that look for the whole blog. I haven't quite finished yet but if you want to drift back to 2012 when this all started then feel free to look back at it. It was a trip for me to see what I used to use this blog for then compared to its use to me now. Some cringy things there but improvement makes you cringe as it should because it shows you how much you've grown and that's what's important.

Hopefully they get Freddy back for not only the no duh reason but I think that variations for both characters could be interesting given their lore. Game drops on April 14th.

Last Round is back with the Ninja Clan 2 Costume Set featuring Leifang, Helena, Momiji, Phase-4, Nyotengu, Jann Lee, Jacky, Bayman, Raidou, and Zack. You can pick this up for $14.99 on PS4 & 360 and $14.49 on XBONE. The PS3 costumes and set have been delayed until later this week so be watching out for that.

What Did I Get Into This Week?

I found out that Fighting is Magic still lives on in Premium Edition and so much work has been done and planned for the future. Looks good from what I've played and if you want to check it out then click HERE!

I played a bunch of Tobal 2 for reasons that shall soon become apparent.

After making that NeoWave video it did remind me that it is my favorite version of 2002 with a great soundtrack to boot and that's mainly thanks to not having all those MAX Mode shenanigans that I've never been a fan of. The Mode Select System gives the game a totally different feel to something familiar. Go play it if you haven't.

Banshee Season 3 has come to a close and it delivered those goods like I know it should! Best finale so far and it leaves so much open for Season 4 to work with. Can't wait until January!

The Internet sort of spoiled the big event of Gravity Falls so I took in a marathon of the first 11 and man I'm glad I did. Still an awesome show and a must watch in my opinion. If only the scheduling of the show didn't suck.

Drive upgraded to Type Formula and that'll probably lead into his final powerup in a couple of episodes. They'll hopefully be turning a corner on the Chase storyline and actually finishing it in the next couple of episodes as well so the show can move past it into what we already know is going to happen.

The usual suspects delivered the goods with all the usual suspects delivering the goods like always with Once Upon a Time & Black Sails being the standouts.

The Originals & The Vampire Diaries made their returns last week killing it as it should with The Flash & Arrow being back in the rotation this week and it should be no breaks for any show until the season's over. So glad for that!

Empire has been going in from the start and with the finale coming this week is its only going to get even crazier! You'll know the final verdict next time.

Dino Charge is getting better by the episode. Check back next week for another report. I have a feeling they'll all be like this.
